The Japan Radio Company NCM-515 Frequency Controller comes with the CQE-515 junction box (shown above). This item will be required if you wish to plug in both the NCM-515 controller and the NDH-515 or NDH-518 memory unit.

After the CQE-515 is screwed into the rear panel of the NRD-515, you may then plug both the controller and memory in. It is important to observe the correct jacks (the plugs are physically interchangeable, but the radio will not function unless the items are plugged in correctly).
