The Chameleon HYBRID is a vehicular base antenna. But it is is designed for vehicular motionless operation. It is strictly for use when the vehicle is parked! This antenna base has an integral broadband impedance matching network allowing broadband antenna tuning. An external antenna tuner is required to provide a low VSWR. The connector provided with the 30 foot antenna wire is a PL-239 sealed and the entire unit is also waterproof.
