The above image is a screen capture of the actual CS-2800 program running under Windows 95®. The main window shows the list of memory channels. The menus and the tool bar contain the following controls (from left to right): New file, load and save the programming file, manipulate the memory channels, select between VHF and UHF memory lists, select the com port number, read and write to the radio. The second window pops up when editing the existing memory channel location, or when adding a new memory channel. Operating frequency, repeater offset, tuning steps, CTCSS and mode (FM or AM*receive only) can be independently set for each memory channel. Alpha-numeric channel names can also be entered here for that extra personalized touch.
