The Hal CWR-6850 receives Morse code with autorange from 4 to 50 WPM. It also decodes regular Baudot radioteletype at 45, 50, 57 and 75 baud). Three standard shifts of 170, 425 and 850 Hz can be selected. It also decodes ASCII at 110 and 300 baud. The UOS - Unshift on Space function is useful when copying RTTY text (resets to LTRS case upon receipt of the SPACE character). You may select 36 or 72 column video format. There is also a fine tuning control. Dual page storage stores the last two pages of received text. Low tones or high tones may be selected. Unlike the CWR-6750, the mode CWR-6850 features a transmit keyboard to facilitate the transmission of Morse, Baudot and ASCII through an amateur transmitter or transceiver. LED indicators include: Mark, Space, and CW (Morse). Video output is to a high resolution built-in 25 line CRT monitor (5 inch diagonal). Brightness is controllable from the front panel. The CWR-6850 also features output to a standard Centronics parallel printer port. Size: 10 1/4W x 6 1/2H x 10 3/4D inches 14 lbs. Requires 13.8 VDC at 1.6 amps.
