Tono EXL-5000E

The Tono EXL-5000E is a complete, self contained communications terminal supporting a variety of modes including:  Morse code, Baudot RTTY, ASCII and AMTOR (ARQ & FEC). It has seven keyboard-selectable, non-volatile, random access memory channels each of which can hold 256 characters. Morse code is adjustable from 5 to 100 wpm via ten keyboard selectable steps. Speed autotrack on receive. For RTTY nine keyboard selectable speeds are supported to cover Baudot standard speeds of 60, 67, 75 and 100 wpm and ASCII at 110, 200, 300 and 600 Baud. This device has a built-in high resolution 5 inch (diagonal) green monitor screen and also provides composite video to a monitor (not supplied). This advanced item features:  a two page display memory contains 40 x 16 lines (1280 characters), 3120 character keyboard buffer, Word Wrap-Around, Automatic Transmit / Receive Switch, Unshift on Space, automatic CR/LF, CW and Echo Functions, RY and QBF test messages and CW practice. There is an AFSK modulator for transceivers without direct FSK connections. Other rear panel jacks include:  Keyboard, Input TTL, AF Input, Phone Jack, PTT Jack, CW Key Jack, KEY FSK Jack, Remote Jack, Video Jack and Centronics Printer Port Jack.

This device operates from 100-120 VAC or 13.8 VDC at 2 amps. (363x351x121mm)

This model is known as the Tono Theta 5000E outside the U.S.A.
